Workshops and Samplers

Here in St. Louis, only two people are certified by the acclaimed Amherst Writers & Artists, an organization with more than 600 writing workshop leaders across the country.

I'm one of them. My longtime friend Patricia Corrigan is the other. We've teamed up to offer weekly writing workshops in the metropolitan area.

Anyone who tells a story that makes the listener laugh or cry or respond in any way is "writing on air." So says Pat Schneider, who developed the Amherst Writers & Artists method more than 20 years ago. Yet far too many people think they are not "good" at writing because they have lost touch with their natural writing ability. Schneider's method helps writers at all skill levels return to their authentic voice.
